With a "great location for shoppers focused on the Magnificent Mile", this smoke-free River North entry retains "some Asian touches" from its days as the Hotel Nikko, including a sushi bar and "beautiful Japanese gardens" in and around the lobby; rooms have a similar "low-key elegance", and those on the recently renovated top floors have "all the bells and whistles", including "large marble baths", Westin's "trademark Heavenly beds" and (at club level) Macintoshes with free Internet; but critics advise "if you don't like crowds, stay clear."

Location in city and hotel staff were excellant.
Lobby bar area too sterile.

Wife and I just decided to go downtown for some shopping and overnight away. This hotel was in great walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping to both Michigan Ave and State Street. Rooms were okay. More a 3 star than a 4 star.

Location couldn't be much better, lobby/public areas are very nice. Rooms seem more like 3 star than 4 star. Wallpaper peeling, ripped rug, etc.

Parking is way expensive.

Hotel was great - beautiful, big rooms, nice lobby area. Parking was ridiculously expensive - $50 for 24 hours.
